CritTeam releases PvE-extraction shooter No Such Place on Steam with 4-player co-op
No Such Place centers around the exploration of anomalous zones, places in which the usual order of the world has vanished. Players must traverse landscapes such as abandoned research compounds and snowfields to discover valuable artifacts and supplies. In these places players must face hordes of hostile organization's agents, mercenaries and madmen who have fallen victim to the void and lost their sanity.
Players have access to a gunsmith system, which opens the door to unconventional weapons builds. Players can customize their weapons to meet the challenges they face in the field. In No Such Place the most lethal threat is not necessarily the beast that stands in front of you, but the environment and other players.
No Such Place is released in Early Access. The development team estimates that No Such Place will stay in Early Access at least for a year. This will give the development team enough time to fine-tune the extraction mechanics and expand the world according to players' feedback.
When the familiar order vanishes the most lethal threat is not necessarily the beast that stands in front of you – CritTeam emphasizes. This is the core premise of the game, which means that paranoia and preparedness are as important as firepower. This is a new addition to the PC extraction shooter genre.
