WWE champion Cody Rhodes has revealed that sent him a cease and desist for wearing the Triforce symbol from The Legend of Zelda on his wrestling boots.

Nintendo's polite legal action

Rhodes wore the Triforce on his boots during his first WWE run in the late 2000s and early 2010s. He shared the story on the podcast "What Do You Wanna Talk About."

According to Rhodes, Nintendo's cease and desist was polite and not aggressive. He said, "It was very kind, they weren't… it was polite, they weren't coming after anybody, I'm not the first guy to have the Triforce."

The Triforce is a iconic symbol from Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda franchise. Nintendo has a history of protecting its intellectual property, though the company has also been known for a more measured approach in some cases.
