Canon has officially announced the EOS R6 V, marking its entry into the creator-focused V series with a full-frame camera. The company revealed the device alongside the RF20-50mm F4 L IS USM PZ lens. Canon states that the EOS R6 V will launch globally in late June 2026.
Flat chassis design includes vertical mount and built-in cooling fan
The camera body utilizes a 32.5MP full-frame CMOS sensor paired with a DIGIC X processor. Video capabilities include 4K60P recording via oversampling and uncropped 4K120P high frame rate capture. It also supports 7K Open Gate recording in both RAW and MP4 formats. Canon Log 2 provides a dynamic range of up to 15+ stops.
The physical design features a flat, straight-edged chassis with a vertical tripod mount. A built-in cooling fan addresses thermal management for extended recording sessions. The accompanying RF20-50mm F4 L IS USM PZ lens is the first full-frame RF lens to include power zoom. It maintains a constant f/4 aperture and uses a non-extending barrel design.
Canon prices the EOS R6 V body at 2499 USD (about $2,499). A kit bundle including the RF20-50mm PZ lens costs 3699 USD (about $3,699). These prices apply to the USA market. The camera becomes available for purchase starting in late June 2026.
