Blue Archive, the mobile gacha title from Nexon, now runs fully on with complete controller support. This patch significantly improves the experience on Deck by adding full controller support and mapping joystick movements to cursor navigation alongside specific buttons for abilities.

Patch delivers native controller support and startup movie reward

The patch introduces joystick-driven cursor movement and maps core abilities to physical buttons. On-screen UI elements now display standard PlayStation-style icons for navigation, making menu interaction intuitive without a touchscreen.

A new Steam Deck startup movie has been added to the Steam Points store for 3,000 points. Players can redeem this exclusive visual reward using accumulated platform credits.

Playability on the handheld has improved significantly due to the control scheme overhaul. Performance gains remain minor, as frame rates were already stable before this update.

This update allows players to experience Blue Archive on Steam Deck with native gamepad icons attached to UI elements for easier navigation. Players can now enjoy Blue Archive on a dedicated gaming device with familiar inputs.

This update follows previous mobile releases and expands the game's reach to PC handhelds. The release includes a new Steam Deck Startup movie available in the Steam Points store for 3,000 points.

Nexon confirmed the patch delivers full compatibility and controller support. The startup movie reward is now available through Steam Points, with no pricing or regional restrictions noted in the release details.

While performance might be slightly better, the primary focus of this patch remains on enhancing playability through improved control schemes rather than raw hardware optimization. Blue Archive players on Steam Deck can now use standard controllers without relying on touch emulation.
