Game Freak released patch 1.008 for Beast of Reincarnation on August 31, bringing the title to version 1.0.10. This update shifts focus from pure bug resolution to quality-of-life improvements that change how players interact with the game's visual and combat systems. Players who prefer customizing their visual experience can now toggle film grain and chromatic aberration. The patch also allows users to disable post-processing effects entirely within movie scenes.
Game Freak refines visual settings and long-range weapon inputs in latest release
The developer added new gameplay mechanics that reward exploration and adjust combat flow. Players can now find 'Tainted Seeds' in each area to earn SP, and 'Destruction Amber' has been placed in specific locations. The game also introduces a system that automatically converts excess items into amber once a holding limit is reached. These changes aim to reduce inventory management friction during extended play sessions.
Combat controls received significant adjustments to improve responsiveness and input clarity. The long-range weapon stance now uses a hold-type input, requiring players to keep the button pressed to maintain the stance. The update allows advance input for ranged weapon stances while sliding, rolling, or performing normal slashes. Enemy behavior has also been tweaked, with flying and ranged weapon enemies now more likely to flinch when attacked.
Game Freak addressed numerous technical issues that previously hindered progression and visual clarity. The patch fixes a bug where players could not progress after losing a boss battle in the Terraced Rice Fields area. It also resolves a transparent barrier in the Second Underground Residential Area that blocked player movement. Visual glitches involving Kuu blocking vision and incorrect sky displays have been corrected. Performance optimizations target specific boss battles to reduce rendering load.
We looked at the last Beast of Reincarnation update earlier while tracking Game Freak's release schedule, and several of the same balance and stability themes came up. This latest patch continues that trend by refining camera angles and fixing interaction delays with treasure chests. The developer noted they will continue to adjust the submersion detection system in future updates.
The update is now available for Beast of Reincarnation. Players can access the new options and bug fixes immediately through their standard game update channels.
