KOEI Tecmo is bringing a new Atelier game to PC in early 2027. Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories introduces a fresh protagonist and a unique gameplay twist. The series returns to its roots with alchemy at the core, but adds a new mechanic tied to eating.
Amnesiac alchemist explores underground Aladiss
The story follows Karia, an amnesiac alchemist exploring the underground regions of Aladiss. Players will uncover the mysteries of the Night Kingdom while restoring Karia’s lost memories. The setting shifts from the series’ typical open fields to a subterranean world.
Alchemy remains central, but with a twist: eating ingredients grants temporary effects and abilities. This introduces a survival aspect to managing resources. Synthesized items also aid exploration, solve puzzles, and help build bases.
Combat blends real-time action with a strategic command menu. Players can pause the action to give commands and then watch the results. The system seeks to balance fast-paced combat with tactical depth.
Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories launches worldwide on PC in early 2027. No console versions have been announced at this time.
