Console players waiting for a steady supernatural horror experience have a new option arriving this winter. ASYLUM brings its hallucinatory atmosphere to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PS4, and Nintendo Switch without relying on cheap jump scares. This release matters because it expands the game's audience beyond PC users who have already played the title since March.
Soedesco publishes the supernatural adventure on four major platforms
Soedesco is publishing the console version of ASYLUM, a game originally developed by Senscape. The title casts players into the first-person perspective of the Hanwell Mental Institute, a setting designed to feel unsettling and dreamlike. The console ports allow players to experience this specific narrative environment on their living room hardware.
The game offers approximately 10 hours of gameplay across these platforms. Developers have confirmed that the experience contains no jump scares, focusing instead on atmospheric tension and story progression. This pacing choice aims to maintain a consistent level of dread rather than startling the player with sudden events.
ASYLUM previously launched on PC via Steam and GOG on March 13, 2025. The console release brings the same core adventure to major gaming systems for the first time. We looked at Skatesterre Arcade Skating Game Launches August earlier while tracking Soedesco launches.
Soedesco described ASYLUM as an ambitious first-person horror adventure casting you into the hallucinatory setting of the Hanwell Mental Institute. The winter release window marks the official arrival of this supernatural horror title on the four specified console platforms.
