Asus has unveiled a special edition graphics card to mark the 20th anniversary of its Republic of Gamers brand. The ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20 pushes power delivery to 800W, a significant increase over standard models. This card targets enthusiasts who demand extreme performance and unique design.
Extreme power and cooling for enthusiasts
The card is built around Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5090 GPU. It measures 36.1 x 13.9 x 9.4 cm and occupies 4.7 slots in a PC case. Such a large cooler is necessary to handle the high power draw and heat output.
Specifications
- Dimensions: 36.1 x 13.9 x 9.4 cm
- Slot thickness: 4.7 slots
- Power delivery: 800W
- GPU clock: 2,760 MHz
- Cooling: Four fans, liquid metal, vapor chamber, copper heat pipes
The GPU clock reaches up to 2,760 MHz, which Asus claims is about 5.7% faster than the standard ROG Astral on paper. Power is supplied through a 12V high-power connector, and the card supports up to 800W when paired with a compatible BTF power supply.
Cooling relies on four fans, liquid metal thermal compound, a vapor chamber, and copper heat pipes. The card also features a transparent glass backplate and a removable curved AMOLED display. Users can customize the display to show system stats or animations.
Asus has not announced pricing or availability for this limited edition card. The company has not commented on when or where it will be sold. Given the anniversary nature, production may be limited.
