Ubisoft has outlined the fixes and known issues for the first post-release patch of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. This update matters to players because it addresses technical glitches that disrupt the experience on PC and affects gameplay mechanics across all platforms. We expect the patch to drop this coming week, though Ubisoft has not confirmed a specific release date.

Ubisoft details technical glitches and gameplay fixes

The game runs on PC with settings that can trigger performance locks. Ubisoft confirmed that cutscenes are locked to 30 FPS on PC when using Raytracing, BVH, or Terrain Quality at Ultra High setting. Players can workaround this by resetting the Overall Preset to a lower setting.

Several gameplay bugs require attention from the development team. Stealth combat issues include a missing Double Assassination prompt near power kegs and enemies detecting out-of-range rope darts. Other bugs prevent players from dodging Humpback Whale tail slaps, cause fast travel issues in Principe, and make the Jackdaw disappear when upgraded while docked.

Localized versions of the game suffer from a dubbing alignment issue between voiceover playback and cutscene visuals. Players may also get stuck in the desynchronization screen or specific quest areas like 'The One with the Gun' and 'Devil's Eye Caverns'. The El Tiburon boss battle requires manual pistol aim to break defense, and no tutorial exists for throwing money to distract guards.

We touched on Ubisoft Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced in our earlier Ubisoft coverage. The patch will address the outlined technical and gameplay issues once released. Players should watch for the update announcement to resolve these specific bugs.
