A community modder has released a visual overhaul for Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced that strips away the game's signature yellow color grading. Players tired of the artificial tint can now experience the Caribbean seascape with more natural lighting and contrast. This change matters because it restores the intended color balance without requiring a full game reinstall or complex configuration.

Community tool strips artificial color grading from PC version

The modification targets the PC version of the Ubisoft title and relies on Reshade, a popular post-processing framework. The modder known as 'Blu' built the tool to remove the default yellow filter that obscures the game's original art direction. Users need to install Reshade and apply Prod80's shaders to make the visual adjustments take effect on their systems.

Installation involves placing the necessary files into the game directory and launching Reshade to inject the new color profiles. The modder has made the complete package available for download through Nexus Mods, a standard repository for game modifications. This process allows players to customize the visual output while keeping the core game files intact.

Ubisoft is currently addressing a separate technical issue within the game that affects performance during narrative sequences. The developer has acknowledged a framerate lock bug that occurs specifically in cutscenes and plans to resolve it in an upcoming update. This fix will help ensure smoother playback for players who rely on consistent frame rates during story moments.

We touched on Ubisoft Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced in our earlier Ubisoft coverage. The combination of community visual tweaks and official performance patches gives players more control over their experience. Users can apply the color correction immediately while waiting for the official framerate fix to arrive in a future patch.
