Bohemia Interactive released the Partisan Update 1.7 for Arma Reforger on May 28, introducing a playable third faction and overhauling vehicle physics. The patch also adds a Reconnect Queue to address server capacity issues during peak player reconnections.

Bohemia Interactive adds playable FIA faction and overhauls vehicle physics in May 28 release.

The update targets PC players with version 1.7 and console users who receive the corresponding build numbered 1.070.041. Xbox players gain access to up to 50 GB of additional storage space dedicated to mod files, expanding their ability to customize gameplay experiences.

A major focus of this release is the introduction of the FIA as a playable third faction within Conflict scenarios. Bohemia Interactive has also implemented significant adjustments to vehicle simulation, including changes to weights, suspension dynamics, and torque delivery for improved realism.

The development team acknowledges that vehicle handling remains a divisive topic among players. They plan to continue refining the physics engine in future updates until they achieve the desired balance between accuracy and playability.

Bohemia Interactive expects to release one or two hotfixes in the coming days or weeks to address issues arising from the scope of this content drop. These patches are not yet confirmed with exact dates but will follow the main update rollout.
