Embark Studios has released a significant update for the game ARC Raiders, marking the conclusion of its Escalation roadmap. The patch, known as Riven Tides, was intended to be the grand finale but has received mixed to negative feedback from the community.

On , the game's reception has shifted dramatically since the update launched. As of April 29, there were 364 negative reviews compared to only 221 positive ones. By the time of writing, this ratio had worsened further with 285 negative reviews versus just 154 positive reviews.

The Riven Tides update introduced changes related to PvP encouragement and weapon durability that players did not well-receive. Insider Gaming dropped their review score for ARC Raiders from a perfect 10/10 after six months of play, citing the decline in quality.

Despite the recent downturn, the overall rating on Steam remains at 85% positivity due to early success with the game. The negative reviews have outpaced positive ones by almost double since the update launched, creating a challenging environment for the title.
