Ubisoft is taking the servers for The Division 2 offline on June 30 to prepare for a major content update. This maintenance window allows the developer to deploy the Year 8 Season 2.1 patch, which brings significant changes to the game's live service model. Players who plan to log in during this period will need to wait for the systems to come back online. The downtime is a necessary step to integrate new crossover content and seasonal events into the game world.

The primary focus of the Y8S2.1 update is a crossover event with the horror title Dead by Daylight. This collaboration introduces a new event pass that runs from June 30 through July 14. The pass includes both free and premium reward tracks for players to unlock. Participants can earn unique outfits and backpack trophies by completing specific challenges within the crossover event.

Alongside the Dead by Daylight content, Ubisoft is launching the Rage Harvest Global Event. This event is scheduled to run from June 30 to July 7, offering a different type of gameplay challenge. The Rage Harvest mode features enemies equipped with Overheal mechanics, which adds a new layer of difficulty to combat. Players will need to adapt their strategies to manage these enhanced enemy health pools effectively.

Server maintenance is set to begin at 9:30 AM CEST, which corresponds to 3:30 AM EDT. The downtime is expected to last for at least five hours before services are restored. This schedule ensures that the team has sufficient time to apply the patch and verify system stability. Players should plan their gaming sessions around this maintenance window to avoid being locked out of the game.
