The move broadens the title's audience by integrating it into two major gaming platforms simultaneously.
New chapter and characters arrive on Xbox Series and PC
The platform expansion coincides with the release of version 3.5, titled 'Blade of Past Resounds, Lingering Dream Hymns.' This update introduces significant narrative content, including Chapter IV Act I, Act II, and The Chant of Unseen Ties. Players will also explore the new Mengzhou: Land of Xuanfang area, which adds fresh environments to the game world.
Kuro Games stated that the 'Wuthering Waves version 3.5 update ‘Blade of Past Resounds, Lingering Dream Hymns’ launches July 10 alongside Xbox Series version.' The update introduces new playable characters, specifically the Resonators Yangyang: Xuanling and Suisui, as well as Rover: Electro. These additions provide players with new combat styles and abilities to utilize in the expanded content.
PC players will benefit from technical improvements, including support for Intel XeSS 3 Frame Generation to enhance graphical performance. The development team also implemented new resource compression technology to reduce the size of the PC client package. These optimizations aim to improve accessibility and reduce storage requirements for users on both platforms.
