Lyrical Games pushed back the release of Valor Mortis to October 13. The developer says the extra time will help polish the game further. A demo already runs without stutters but still needs more work.
Valor Mortis demo available now
Valor Mortis is a first-person Souls-like set in Napoleon’s army. The game blends historical warfare with dark fantasy elements. It targets players who enjoy challenging combat and atmospheric exploration.
The delay affects the full launch but not the demo, which remains available. Early hands-on reports note smooth performance overall. The team aims to address remaining rough edges before the new date.
Outward 2, the sequel to the open-world survival RPG, also slipped to 2027. It will enter Early Access that year. The original Outward combined action RPG mechanics with survival systems, and the sequel follows that formula.
Both delays give developers more time to refine their games. Valor Mortis arrives this fall, while Outward 2 targets a 2027 Early Access release.
