Snap Inc. is entering the augmented reality glasses market with Snap Specs, a flagship device that overlays digital content onto the real world through a built-in display. The glasses are designed to bring AR into daily life with a compact form factor and robust internal hardware.

Dual Snapdragon processors enable 7 ms latency

Snap Specs are powered by two specialized Snapdragon processors, one dedicated to handling the AR workload and another for general tasks. The two Snapdragon processors allow the glasses to render graphics and track head movements simultaneously with only 7 ms latency.

Specifications

  • Field of view: 51 degrees
  • Colors: 16 million
  • Latency: 7 ms
  • Battery life: 4 hours (20 hours with case)
  • Processor: Two Snapdragon processors

The display covers a 51-degree field of view and can show 16 million colors. Content appears as large as a 24-inch monitor at a normal working distance, according to Snap. The system responds to head movements with just 7 milliseconds of latency, making the virtual objects feel stable and responsive.

Battery life is rated at four hours of continuous use, and the included charging case extends total runtime to 20 hours. The glasses are priced at 2195 USD (about $2,195) and are scheduled to launch in fall 2026 in the US, UK, and France.
