Microsoft has expanded Advanced Shader Delivery support to all AMD Radeon graphics cards dating back to the RX 5000 series. This update eliminates long load times and stuttering by delivering precompiled shaders directly during game downloads. The feature now works through the Xbox PC app after leaving the Xbox Insider program.

The software enhancement targets titles that previously suffered from shader compilation delays. Current supported games include Forza Horizon 5, Forza Horizon 6, Starfield, Avowed, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Users must run the Xbox Gaming Services version 37.113.11003.0 or later to access these improvements.
Advanced Shader Delivery relies on the Windows 11 24H2 platform to function correctly. The technology requires AMD Adrenalin driver version 26.6.1 or newer for full compatibility. Microsoft reports that Forza Horizon 6 now loads in approximately four seconds with the feature enabled. This represents a ninety-five percent reduction compared to the nearly one and a half minutes required without it.
The update currently applies only to games launched through the Xbox PC app. Steam, Epic Games Store, and other third-party launchers do not yet support this acceleration method. NVIDIA and Intel have outlined plans to implement similar technology but have not released public driver updates for these features yet.
