A PC port of the 64 classic Pokemon Stadium now offers multiplayer functionality and persistent configuration settings. This release adds functionality that fans have wanted since the title originally launched on Nintendo 64 hardware decades ago.

New N64Recomp translation enables multiplayer sessions and persistent settings for the classic title

The project uses N64Recomp to translate the original cartridge code for modern Windows systems. Users must supply their own US v1.0 ROM file because the port does not include copyrighted assets or a Visual C++ redistributable package.

Build v0.4.2-beta resolves controller routing issues that previously broke multiplayer sessions. The update also saves configuration files to disk so players do not lose settings between launches.

The build ships with a built-in GB Tower emulator and Transfer Pak support for Game Boy connectivity. It includes an SS Anne launcher that lets users access the hidden ferry minigame without external tools.

Video Game Esoterica reports that this release follows earlier alpha builds like v0.3.1-alpha. Developers are steadily improving performance ahead of the upcoming stable version.
