Xiaomi launched the Mijia Portable Coffee Machine, a battery-powered espresso device designed for travel and outdoor use. Xiaomi released this portable device to meet the need for space-saving coffee makers that operate without a power cord or large footprint.

The device uses a 20-bar electromagnetic pump to extract coffee from capsules or grounds inside a detachable unit.
The machine features a dual-compatible brewing chamber that accepts standard coffee capsules or freshly ground beans. It uses a 20-bar electromagnetic pump to extract liquid from the coffee grounds inside a detachable unit.
- Dimensions: 24.5cm height x 7.15cm width
- Pump Pressure: 20-bar electromagnetic pump
- Brewing Chamber Compatibility: Dual-compatible (standard capsules and freshly ground coffee)
- Temperature Control: 92°C (197°F) via ceramic heating element and PID algorithm
- Brew Cycle Time: ~45 seconds
Xiaomi equipped the device with three internal batteries, each rated at 2,500mAh for a combined capacity of 7,500mAh. The system charges through a 45W USB-C port and reaches an 80 percent charge in roughly 30 minutes or a full charge in 80 minutes.

The hardware maintains water temperature at 92 degrees Celsius using a ceramic heating element and a PID algorithm. A standard brew cycle takes approximately 45 seconds to complete, and the exterior carries an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance.
Battery performance varies significantly based on water temperature. The device can produce up to 400 cups per charge when users pre-heat the water, but it yields just over three cups if it heats room-temperature water from cold.
Xiaomi priced the Mijia Portable Coffee Machine at 799 yuan for standard retail and offered a discounted early-bird price of 559 yuan. The product launches first in China through a crowdfunding campaign on Xiaomi Mall and Xiaomi Youpin starting June 17.
