MSI displayed next-generation GPU cooling technology at Computex 2026. The company showcased the innovations on a prototype of its 5090 32G Gaming Trio Next-Gen graphics card. This hardware demonstration points toward potential upgrades for future consumer GPUs, including the rumored GeForce RTX 60 Series.

Engineering upgrades include ultra-thin metal blades and spiral-groove heat pipes.

MSI introduced several physical changes to its cooling architecture during the event. The new design features ultra-thin fan blades that measure just 0.8mm in thickness. These blades use durable metal construction to improve airflow and operational efficiency compared to previous models.

The thermal management system received significant internal updates alongside the fans. MSI replaced standard heat pipes with an advanced spiral-groove design oriented diagonally for better heat transfer. The company also implemented a diamond-composite thermal pad specifically for memory cooling.

A diamond-copper composite baseplate now sits directly under the GPU and heatsink to improve conductivity. These combined changes aim to enhance overall thermal performance in high-end graphics cards. MSI presented these components as part of its next-generation cooling roadmap rather than an immediate retail release.

MSI showcased these hardware updates during Computex 2026 without announcing specific pricing or availability dates for the prototype card. The demonstration focuses on engineering improvements that could influence future product releases in the GeForce RTX 60 Series lineup.
