Coffee Stain Studios has released Satisfactory version 1.2, introducing significant changes to base-building mechanics and factory logistics. The update reworks how players connect power sources and transport fluids across their sprawling industrial complexes.

Coffee Stain Studios introduces fluid trucks, smart intersections, and creative mode modifiers to overhaul factory logistics in the latest patch.

The core gameplay loop now supports daisy chaining for power connections, allowing two links per building instead of the previous single link. The update allows for more adaptable power grid designs while minimizing congestion in areas with heavy resource consumption.

Fluid stations and fluid trucks have been added to handle water, oil, and fuel transport over long distances. Users are able to transport resources automatically through new fluid systems instead of depending solely on conveyors, which simplifies managing extensive manufacturing networks.

Automated vehicle paths received a major overhaul with smart intersection handling that prevents traffic jams. Manual driving suspension was also polished for smoother operation, while new buildables like the Pipeline T-Junction and Cross Beam expand construction options.

Creative mode now includes modifiers to adjust recipe costs, power consumption, space elevator requirements up to 100x, and resource node randomization. Controller buttons are freely reboundable with dynamic gamepad swap support for improved accessibility.

The SPWN Toilet feature allows players to set custom respawn points, while full rain and weather effects return to the environment. The new features improve environmental realism and provide creators with greater flexibility in designing both the visual style and operational structure of their facilities.
