The model consists of 479 pieces. It measures 4 cm high, 16 cm wide, and 12 cm deep. The box includes two detachable controllers and a game card. Builders can apply decals to customize the console for either the Mega Drive or Genesis branding. A hidden image of Sonic the Hedgehog is also included in the cartridge bay.
LEGO priced the set at 39.99 USD in the United States. The United Kingdom price is set at 34.99 GBP. The product will be available globally starting June 1, 2026. This release date aligns with the official announcement window.
The SEGA Genesis holds a significant place in gaming history. It competed directly with the Nintendo Entertainment System during the 16-bit era.
