Bohemia Interactive released DayZ Stable Update 1.29 on June 1, addressing a series of persistent bugs that affected both PC and console players. The update brings targeted fixes for server stability, visual glitches, and platform-specific issues that have frustrated the community since the last patch.

Bohemia Interactive targets server stability and platform-specific bugs across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.

The stable release targets the core PC version under version 1.29, while the console builds receive Patch 1.83 (Version 1.29.163047). The separate updates allow PlayStation and Xbox players to receive fixes optimized for their respective platforms.

Key fixes include resolving incorrect status icons that displayed misleading information to users. Items now properly remain on the ground instead of dropping unexpectedly when players reconnect to servers. Character death logic during server restarts while unconscious has also been corrected, preventing unfair gameplay outcomes.

Secondary adjustments address audio and customization bugs that disrupted immersion. Wooden sticks no longer produce undesired sounds during interactions, and customized character data saves correctly after game restarts. These changes improve the overall consistency of the simulation.

The Xbox and Microsoft Store versions received targeted fixes for mouse and keyboard users who were previously unable to access controller-only servers. UI display issues have been resolved, default graphics settings now apply as intended, and doubled displays at specific resolutions are fixed.
