Pearl Abyss has released a new update for Crimson Desert, bringing the game to version 1.09.00 via patch 1.000.312. The update resolves longstanding community feedback while enhancing system-wide stability.

The patch introduces controller remapping for console players and expands the companion system with new animal species.

Quality-of-life adjustments in this patch improve general gameplay accessibility. Console players can now fully remap controller buttons through a new settings menu, allowing for customized control schemes without relying on default layouts.

Approximately 30 new small animal species have been added as registerable pets in the game world. The new animal species broaden collection choices for players interested in companion gathering and customization.

New abilities were introduced for characters Oongka and Damiane, while Kliff received animations for his Blinding Flash Finisher move. The stagger meter mechanics have also been adjusted to provide more balanced combat pacing during encounters.

The patch resolves various technical problems across the game systems. Character dyeing colors now display correctly, legendary fish donations function properly, and access to Pond Management mode has been restored after previous restrictions.
