Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Electric Straight Handle Screwdriver for crowdfunding in China, positioning it as a practical tool for home repairs and furniture assembly. The device features a 2000mAh battery that supports Type-C charging, offering enough power to tighten approximately 600 screws on a single charge.

Crowdfunding price is just 99 yuan on Xiaomi YouPin platform
The screwdriver operates with three adjustable torque levels to handle different fastening tasks. In electric mode, it delivers up to 4 N·m of torque, while manual mode increases the maximum output to 8 N·m for tougher applications. The unit uses an all-metal planetary gearbox designed to maintain stable output during heavy use and reduce slipping or jamming.
The package includes a magnetic bit holder to keep screws aligned in tight spaces, though this feature works best with ferrous and iron-based alloy fasteners. It comes with 18 screwdriver bits total, split between nine long and nine short options for versatile compatibility. An integrated LED light illuminates dark work areas, and a one-button switch controls forward and reverse rotation.
The tool ships in a compact EVA storage case that is impact-resistant and includes built-in slots to organize the main unit and accessories. Xiaomi lists the crowdfunding price at 99 yuan, which converts to approximately $15 USD based on current exchange rates. The product is available exclusively through Xiaomi's YouPin platform for now.
The product continues the brand's focus on affordable, practical tools designed for daily use. No details regarding global distribution or pricing outside of the Chinese crowdfunding launch have been provided.
