Microsoft is reportedly developing a new performance mode for Windows 11 called the Low Latency Profile. The feature is said to temporarily boost CPU frequency for short bursts, aiming to improve responsiveness in games and applications.

According to Windows Central, the mode could deliver up to 40% faster launch times for Microsoft apps like Outlook and Edge. It may also speed up interface elements such as the Start menu and context menus by up to 70%.
The Low Latency Profile is part of Microsoft's Windows K2 initiative, which addresses common complaints about Windows 11 performance. However, the feature is still in early testing and may not be released.
It remains unclear whether users will be able to toggle the mode on and off or if it will run automatically in the background. Microsoft has not confirmed the feature's existence or its launch timeline.
