Vivo X300 FE vs OnePlus 15R: Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Comparison

NicoGG 2 min read

Compare the Vivo X300 FE and OnePlus 15R. Both use Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, but differ in display size, camera systems, battery capacity, and price.

Vivo and OnePlus are preparing to release new smartphones that share a flagship processor but target different user preferences. The Vivo X300 FE focuses on compact design and premium camera features, while the OnePlus 15R emphasizes battery life and display speed at a lower cost point.

Compact Vivo device contrasts with larger OnePlus model in specs and pricing

Both devices run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and support up to 12GB of RAM with 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. The Vivo X300 FE features a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, whereas the OnePlus 15R uses a larger 6.83-inch AMOLED panel running at 165Hz. Both phones include IP68 and IP69 water resistance ratings.

The camera systems differ significantly between the two models. The Vivo X300 FE includes a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a Zeiss-tuned lens setup, and a dedicated 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom. The OnePlus 15R also uses a 50MP main sensor with OIS but lacks a separate telephoto camera entirely.

Power management highlights another major contrast between the devices. Vivo equips its phone with a 6500mAh battery that supports 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging, along with reverse wireless capabilities. OnePlus pairs its larger 7400mAh cell with 80W wired charging but omits any wireless charging support.

Pricing information for the Indian market shows a clear split in positioning. The Vivo X300 FE starts at ₹80,000 INR (about $834), while the OnePlus 15R launches at ₹55,000 INR (about $574). Both phones will run Android 16 with their respective custom interfaces, OriginOS 6 and OxygenOS 16.
