TrendForce reports that global OLED monitor shipments grew 78% year-over-year in Q1 2026, led by ASUS and fueled by abundant QD-OLED panel supply.

Global OLED monitor shipments grew 78 percent year over year in the first quarter of 2026, according to TrendForce. The market saw a 11 percent dip on a quarter-over-quarter basis compared to late 2025 due to seasonal demand pull-forward from holiday promotions. Full-year 2025 already posted a 92 percent year-over-year increase with roughly 2.7 million units shipped globally.

ASUS leads the global OLED monitor vendor rankings with a 24 percent share as QD-OLED panels drive demand.

ASUS held the top market position in Q1 2026 with a 24 percent share, followed by Samsung at 16.4 percent. MSI placed third with 12.2 percent of the market, while AOC and Philips tied for fourth place at 12.1 percent. LG rounded out the top five vendors with a 9.1 percent share.

TrendForce identifies Quantum Dot OLED panels as a key growth catalyst due to their abundance in supply. These panels layer a quantum dot film over an organic LED base to significantly boost brightness and color volume compared to standard WOLED panels. The firm also notes that burn-in concerns have largely faded after real-world durability tests proved modern OLED panels can take a beating.

The 27-inch QHD format running at 240Hz is now the sweet spot for gaming performance and value, according to the research group. TrendForce had projected another 51 percent jump in total OLED monitor shipments for 2026 before this first quarter data came in.
