Forza Horizon 6 has reportedly sold nearly five million copies across Steam and Xbox platforms in less than a week. The title generated more than $325 million in gross revenue during that same period. Playground Games developed the racing game while Microsoft handled publishing duties.
Third-party analytics reveal strong commercial performance across Xbox and Steam platforms
Steam accounts for approximately 2.8 million of those sales figures. Xbox platforms including console, PC, and cloud contributed nearly 2.1 million paid copies. A line representing a 51 percent to 49 percent revenue split between Xbox and Steam respectively suggests a near even financial performance across both storefronts.
The game launched on May 15 for Premium Edition owners and on May 19 for standard edition buyers globally. Over three million additional players accessed the title through Microsoft's Game Pass subscription service. Around 1.7 million players reportedly purchased the premium version or the Game Pass Premium Add-On.
These sales figures come from third-party analytics estimates provided by Alinea Analytics rather than official reports from Microsoft or Playground Games. The data indicates strong commercial performance for the racing franchise across both major gaming platforms.
