Arrowhead Game Studios is releasing a major technical update for Helldivers 2 on May 27. The patch targets performance improvements across all supported platforms, including PC and consoles.

Arrowhead Game Studios releases major technical patch targeting performance improvements across all supported platforms including PC and consoles

The update introduces extensive upscaling support tailored to each platform. PC players can utilize 4.0.3, FSR 3.1.5, 4.5, or 3.0 depending on their hardware. PS5 Pro users gain access to PSSR 1, while standard PS5 and Xbox consoles receive FSR 3.1 support.

Console players benefit from new Variable Refresh Rate compatibility on both PS5 and PS5 Pro models. The patch also integrates Dynamic Resolution Scaling across PC, PS5, , and other systems. Performance presets on consoles now target a 1440p resolution baseline to improve frame rates.

Input latency receives direct attention through dedicated technologies for major GPU manufacturers. Reflex is available for users with compatible graphics cards to sharpen responsiveness. Anti-Lag 2 provides full support for AMD GPU owners to ensure instant input registration.

The studio describes this release as the opening salvo in an ongoing campaign to improve performance across all hardware configurations. Arrowhead Game Studios plans to monitor platform stability and deploy further adjustments based on user feedback. A dedicated technical update is also scheduled for later this summer.
