Former BioWare, Inflexion Games, and Timbre Games developers have formed a new game studio called Studio Reset. The team is based in Canada and focuses on building original worlds with a small, dedicated group of creators.

Ex-BioWare developers launch Canadian studio for neon-noir mystery game

Kaelin Lavallée serves as creative director for the project. Francis Lacuna leads art direction while Kris Schoneberg handles design. The trio has worked together across multiple shipped titles and learned from both successes and failures during their careers.

The studio is currently developing a neon-noir supernatural mystery game set in a stylized Canadian cityscape. Lavallée stated that the team wants to maintain close ties with the creative vision and the players throughout development. Schoneberg added that perspective plays a key role in how investigators approach cases within the game world.

The founders believe that collaboration quality matters as much as the final product itself. They described their decision to launch Studio Reset as a natural progression after years of shared instincts and stubborn commitment to meaningful design choices.

Studio Reset has not yet confirmed specific release dates or platform availability for its upcoming title. The team continues to build out its development pipeline while emphasizing sustainable production practices.
