Sony is preparing to launch its annual PlayStation Days of Play 2026 promotional event from May 27 through June 10. Industry leakers have already uncovered details about the upcoming sale, which will focus heavily on accessories and software rather than hardware consoles.

Leaked details highlight peripheral price drops while console sales remain absent from the upcoming event.

The leak points to significant discounts across Sony's peripheral lineup. Standard DualSense controllers will reportedly drop to €54.99 EUR (about $63.85). The premium DualSense Edge model will see a reduced price of €189.99 EUR (about $221). Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore audio gear will also receive at least a €20 discount across the board.

Virtual reality buyers can expect the PSVR 2 headset to sell for €349.99 EUR (about $406), marking a substantial drop from its standard retail price. First-party software like Ghost of Yōtei is expected to launch or appear in the sale at €54.99 EUR (about $63.85). These accessory-focused deals align with typical seasonal promotional patterns for the PlayStation ecosystem.

Console shoppers will likely find no relief this year, as recent PS5 and PS5 Pro price increases have seemingly halted any plans for hardware discounts. The manufacturer appears to be prioritizing software and peripheral sales following those adjustments. Additionally, PlayStation Plus Essential tier subscriptions saw a slight price hike in select regions, though subscribers can still access a 5% discount on direct store purchases.

Sony has not officially confirmed the full scope of these promotional details ahead of the May 27 start date.
