Askiisoft is adding more content for Katana ZERO dlc than what would make sense for a dlc. It's more like a full blown sequel. It means a much more extensive experience than what you might have expected.
Askiisoft confirms the free update now rivals a full sequel
It changes everything about time frame and potentially pricing for this long-awaited free update that we all want. If you bought this game expecting some small added mission, get ready for some serious content that completely shifts the ending to the game.
They did let us know in a recent social media post that they are still working on it. Although it's now a lot bigger than it was. And that they are still hard at work on it.
The developer (Askiisoft) did let us know they are still working on it. Also that it's a lot bigger than they initially planned for. So, just in case you were wondering if this means they scrapped it, it doesn't. Although it's a LOT bigger.
Some of the big things with this new and much more expanded update will include having over 30 new songs for the soundtrack to go with all the new stuff. The developer mentioned that it's the size of a sequel. So, you know it's a complete new story or complete new gameplay, not some small patch type thing. That's straight from the description of what they have now (From the dev).
We don't even know if this DLC will still be free when it's released. We might have to adjust the price model. The devs do give a big thanks for being so patient while they work on this huge thing. So, keep a look out for more info on release dates and maybe how we'll be able to get it.
