If you’re excited for the next big Palworld update, don’t expect a game-changing update, instead be ready for a small one. Developer Pocketpair has made it clear that the upcoming Patch 1.1 won’t be a huge update but they’re confident it’ll be what the community wants. So if you’re a gamer who is looking forward to a huge update or new game mode then be ready to be disappointed.

Pocketpair confirms update 1.1 is small and rules out paid expansions

John “Bucky” Buckley, a developer from Pocketpair, has directly spoken about the upcoming content. He made it clear that although they’re confident that what’s coming will make gamers happy, they’re not quite ready to show off anything yet. The developer team is still being tight-lipped about what’s coming until we’re getting closer to it.

The developer has also clarified what they have in store for Palworld in terms of content going forward. They currently don’t have any plans for a paid expansion or DLC, but they’re not completely closing the door on the idea for the far future. Going forward in terms of content support, Buckley indicated that it’s likely to be free, at least there’s no current plan to monetize the updates in a different way.

After the release of Patch 1.0 that brought some serious content to the game such as 72 new Pals, endgame features, and quality of life stuff, this cautious approach is understandable. There were quite a few of the same themes for balance and stability in the last Palworld update when we reported on it. It’s clear that they’re more interested in small, incremental changes.

Palworld Patch 1.1 is confirmed to be on a smaller scale than some of the other major patches. Pocketpair is looking to keep gamers happy with small updates instead of focusing on monetized, big updates. So, gamers should expect a polished experience instead of a whole new game structure.
