Netmarble is changing the game fundamentally with the 2.5th Anniversary update for Solo Leveling: Arise. As the 'Beyond' update is released October 22, 2026, it's changing how players engage with endgame content. It's significant because it changes the team composition by making the game more difficult, where instead of a team you'll have to use 4 Hunters.

Netmarble changes endgame tactics and retires Special Commission

One big change in the update is the introduction of Deep Containment Zone as a new team mode. It requires 4 Hunters, rather than the usual 3. This means players need to adjust team lineups and tactics. This new challenge puts the new team composition to the test.

The level cap for Sung Jinwoo goes from 160 to 170, so there's more potential for character development. With the update comes the introduction of a new job change, Requiem, providing additional job options for combat. You'll have two new characters to recruit: Holy Guardian Barrier Go Gunhee and Successor of the Fangs Velvet.

The Special Commission system is being phased out and replaced by a new card system that's seasonal. It features duplicate refunds, which should minimize resource loss for players. There's a redeem code for the new update called 25THANNIV starting from the launch date of the update.

The Epic Games Store version of the game is no longer supported after October 22, 2026. Players on that platform will need to migrate to other supported stores to play. This is a big step in platform consolidation for the mobile game.
