This game is important to gamers looking for detailed story driven systems and challenging combat mechanics – instead of transient scares it dives into an environment of continuous world building. Tencent-backed studio reveals new RPG set in a floating city where urban legends are reality

Ordinary Oddness takes place in the floating city in the sky known as Elysian Skies. In the city the abnormal is accepted as common sense and urban legends are the basic laws of the world. According to COSMICPUP STUDIO urban legends are more than just spices to horror stories, they are the basis of the world. Players will experience life in a society where the bizarre is normal.

  • Engine: Unreal Engine 5
  • Platforms: , Xbox Series, PC
  • Genre: Open-world RPG

Ordinary Oddness is being built on Unreal Engine 5 to create high quality environments and cinematic scenes. In the game the combat mechanics are more active – players need to take part. You can block incoming attacks and move out of the way.

You can change characters mid combat. The combat system opens up a multitude of tactical possibilities per encounter.

Ordinary Oddness is confirmed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles and PC. The game will be available on , Epic Games Store and WeGame for PC gamers. All platforms have pre-registration available. We don't have a release date yet, but the studio is gathering interest from early adopters.

As we were combing for other major console releases like Call of Duty we came across this announcement. Ordinary Oddness is an interesting alternative to the wave of military shooters out there. The floating city brings an interesting new landscape to experience open world content. This is something for narrative driven RPG fans to add to their wishlists.

All platforms are currently open for pre-registration. No exact release date has been revealed. The studio is focused on world building and refining the combat systems at the moment. Sign up to get updates as the game is being developed.
