Xiaomi finalises October 27, 2026 launch date for standard Redmi K100 in China. The K100 excels in display refresh rates and touch sensitivity beyond what a typical flagship phone can offer. It's a high-performance device designed for mobile gaming experiences that emphasise speed and clarity.

The Redmi K100 features a 6.83-inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate.

Standard model launches in China with dedicated gaming chip and Bose audio

The Redmi K100 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, acting as the main CPU behind the device. To complement the main CPU, Xiaomi also uses a D2 gaming chip for handling heavy graphics. With the combination of Snapdragon 8 Elite and the D2 gaming chip, it aims to provide consistent performance during heavy gaming sessions.

Specifications

  • Display Size: 6.83-inch
  • Refresh Rate: 165Hz
  • Peak Brightness: 3,500 nits
  • Chipset: Snapdragon 8 Elite
  • Audio: Sound by Bose

The display on the Redmi K100 spans 6.83 inches and features a 165Hz refresh rate. The maximum brightness reaches 3,500 nits. Xiaomi has also revealed the multi-finger touch reporting rate of 480Hz and an instant touch sampling rate of 3,500Hz. The high refresh rate and touch sampling rate allow for quick updates on the screen and smooth touch responses.

In terms of audio, the Redmi K100 is tuned by Bose, as shown by the Sound by Bose branding on the back camera module. HyperOS 4 will be installed out of the box. There's no official confirmation for an international launch yet. However, it may appear as a Poco smartphone in international markets.

We've been following the Redmi K100 series closely. We've seen the recent launch of the Redmi K100 Pro Max in August. Now, we have the standard K100 in the mix, focusing on display speed and audio tuning. The device will be out in China from October 27, 2026.
