ESL FACEIT Group announced a partnership with TikTok to broadcast esports tournaments in a vertical format optimized for mobile viewers.
TikTok partnership brings vertical viewing format to mobile esports audiences
The collaboration debuted at IEM Atlanta last weekend with bespoke graphics, overlays, and production elements tailored specifically for vertical screens on smartphones.
Mobile devices account for 56% of total global esports viewing according to data from SQ magazine.
TikTok will promote the content, provide promotional tools, and allow streamers to co-stream events as part of the deal.
This marks ESL FACEIT Group's second broadcast partnership in two months following a separate agreement with Kick announced in April.
