The Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 1.109 update released on October 15. It was the last update to the Zombies game mode content cycle. So players need to know that there will be no more additions made to this game mode.
Treyarch ends Zombies content cycle with final weapon balance patch
So we can say that the developers will focus more on other projects. This final update has massive weapon changes and balance adjustments. That will shift the current meta in Multiplayer and Warzone.
The developers focused on Assault Rifles, SMG, Shotgun, LMG, Marksman, and Special Weapons. They’ve changed a few stats to reduce aggressive styles and over-powered loadout usage. This is done to open up the competitive space as we’re getting closer to a major game release.
One of the big nerfs was made to the TR51 Para. It’s rate of fire was reduced from 625RPM to 588RPM. Additionally, the max damage was nerfed from 43 to 40 damage.
The VMP wasn’t safe either. The max damage distance was reduced from 20.3m to 13.5m. On the other hand, the developers buffed the DS20 Mirage Grenade Launcher. So the inner explosion damage was buffed from 34 to 54 damage.
The handling of the Shotguns was nerfed to reduce the pace of close-quarter combat. So the SG-12 got the sprint to fire time increased from 200ms to 220ms. Furthermore, the ADS headshot multiplier on M10 Breacher was reduced from 3x to 2.5x.
The Peacekeeper Mk1 got the headshot multiplier buffed from 1.25x to 1.34x. Also, the stock folding time was improved on REV-46 by 150ms.
“This is the final game update for Black Ops 7 Zombies. There will be no more content additions made to the game mode as the team has been heads down on what’s next. Au revoir for now!” This statement was made by the Zombies development team to confirm that this is the last update for Zombies.
We got similar weapon changes and bug fixes for Warzone. For instance, a fix for Self-Revive stacking exploit.
