The demo for the upcoming sequel, El Paso, Elsewhere 2 is now available on PC so we can get a hands-on experience of the new combat system. Fans can now try the new gameplay features of the sequel before it launches next year. This is important because the original game launched back in 2023 and received critical acclaim. Now with the demo, you can see for yourself if the sequel lives up to the hype.
Players can test upgraded combat and vampiric abilities now
The demo for the upcoming El Paso, Elsewhere 2 is available to try right now on PC via Steam during the Steam Next Fest October 2026 Edition. So you can jump right into the action and check out the new features for yourself right now.
The game is being developed by Strange Scaffold and the publisher for the project is Frosty Pop. You can get your hands on the demo right now on PC (via Steam) and try out the new gameplay for yourself.
El Paso, Elsewhere 2 is a third-person shooter that takes place in a neo-noir world. You will take on the fight in over 20 handcrafted levels filled with sinister gargoyles and gun-wielding vampires. In the demo, you'll get to try out one level that lets you use 15 different weapons. You'll also have the ability to use vampiric powers to help you in the fights.
Studio head Xalavier Nelson Jr of Strange Scaffold mentioned that they returned to the PS2 not just for inspiration but for methodology as well. He mentions that it's faster and more brutal and nimble combat compared to the original. They also have exponentially more detail in the environments to fit the new gameplay. When the full game is released, you'll get fully-voiced cutscenes to tell the neo-noir story.
The full version of El Paso, Elsewhere 2 is set to launch in 2027. When it releases, it will be available on PC (via Steam) and Xbox Series consoles. We'll see if the improved combat in the demo adds up to a full game when it releases next year.
