Ubisoft is undergoing some re-organization. First thing is that they are closing down Finnish studio RedLynx which made the Trials games. So essentially Ubisoft is cutting off a team that made one of their big franchises. This would be important information for gamers who enjoy the Trials franchise. With the closing of the studio it is probably the end for new Trials games. Ubisoft is cutting people which is a big deal in the industry.

Ubisoft plans to shut down RedLynx and cut 52 jobs in Finland
So, RedLynx is the studio that made the Trials games. They are based in Finland. Ubisoft is closing this particular studio. They are potentially cutting 52 jobs there. Ubisoft is giving the reasoning as not having long-term sustainable projects there. Which is pretty sad that the creative minds behind the physics based racing games (Trials) are going to go.
Not only are they closing the studio in Finland, Ubisoft is re-organizing the Singapore studio as well. This is another action Ubisoft is taking as there are about 70 people getting laid off there. All of this is part of Ubisoft's re-shuffling and laying off of staff. The studio cut-backs. They are looking to consolidate. Instead of having studios that are just left hanging without projects, they are just shutting them down.
It hasn't been finalized that RedLynx will close. Under the Finnish labor laws there is a required negotiation between the employer and employee when a company has more than 50 employees. This has to be done before they can close. It's not voluntary. It's just a requirement under the law in Finland.
