In a community made fix, modder bytevoid has just made it easier for players of The Witcher 3 Remastered to have more control of the game, by fixing input lag. The mod aims to reduce input lag between player input and Geralt's actions in the game. This is a particularly relevant update to the game as it can bring back that classic responsiveness we're used to having from any action RPG. All this without changing the main look and balance of the game.
Community modder bytevoid releases fix to lower latency without altering game balance
Specifically, the mod aims to tweak the way movement and combat works in the Remastered version of the game. The player will be able to tweak the responsiveness of both Geralt and his horse, Roach, to the directionals. The timing of the animations and balance in combat hasn't been changed, so the game will feel familiar but with lower latency.
Movement, Horse, Combat, Targeting – there are 4 different pages for configs. On each one, you can choose among the 5 presets from Off to Unleashed. Recommended is the default proposed preset. You can tweak Combat to have swords/magical signs target enemies you chose to target better. The mod will also introduce the option to use closest target aiming to make fights easier.
We talked about the last update for The Witcher 3 Remastered. The focus was a lot around balance and stability. This new mod expands the discussion into the feeling of the game mechanics themselves. The mod can be downloaded on Nexus Mods if you want to tweak the controls scheme yourself.
The mod is a great way to make the gameplay more fluent in The Witcher 3 Remastered. Players will just have to download it and choose their preset based on how responsive they want the game to be. It's a concrete improvement that this community fix brings to The Witcher 3 Remastered.
