Lenovo has launched the Legion Y960 gaming headset in China. The headset features physical 7.1-channel surround sound. It uses a patented six-driver acoustic architecture with two 40mm primary drivers and four 20mm secondary drivers.

Six-driver architecture delivers true 7.1 audio

The headset supports Hi-Res Audio certification with a frequency response of 20Hz to 40kHz. It includes a detachable unidirectional microphone with a cardioid pickup pattern and AI environmental noise cancellation. The microphone also supports sidetone. The headset weighs 346 grams and has a suspended dual-side headband. It offers customizable RGB lighting with 16 million colors and works with Microsoft Dynamic Lighting.

The Legion Y960 is priced at 599 CNY (about $87.93). It is available in China starting May 19, 2026.

The headset connects via USB-C, USB-A, and a dedicated 3.5mm microphone port. It is compatible with PCs, consoles, handheld gaming devices, and phones. Lenovo claims the physical 7.1-channel surround sound improves directional accuracy and reduces latency compared to virtual processing.
