ViewSonic has introduced the LX720-4KC Ultra projector in China. The device targets both home theater and gaming use. Pre-orders begin on March 28, 2025.
DLP chip and laser light source deliver 4K resolution
The projector uses a Texas Instruments DLP 472TP DMD chip and a pure three-color laser light source. It delivers 4K resolution with 8.3 million pixels. The laser is rated for up to 30,000 hours in energy-saving mode. Brightness reaches 3,500 ANSI lumens. The projector supports HDR10 and HLG video formats. It includes a 1.3x optical zoom and a throw ratio between 1.13 and 1.47. A built-in 10W speaker is provided. The chassis has IP5X dust resistance.

For gaming, the LX720-4KC Ultra offers 1080p at 240Hz, 1440p at 120Hz, and 4K at 60Hz. Input latency is under 1ms, according to ViewSonic. This makes it suitable for competitive gaming.
The LX720-4KC Ultra is priced at 6999 CNY (about $1,027) in China. Pre-orders start on March 28, 2025.
ViewSonic has not confirmed availability in other regions. The projector competes with other high-refresh-rate laser projectors aimed at gamers.
