Escape from Tarkov players will see their characters level up significantly faster in the latest patch. Battlestate Games increased the skill progression rate by 60 percent across all game modes. The developers state that this change is designed to make skill progression a more tangible and rewarding process. The change aims to make the grind feel more tangible and rewarding for everyone who logs in.
New referral system rewards veteran and new players with shared incentives
The developer also introduced a new referral system called Operators and Candidates. This feature allows experienced players to invite newcomers to join their squad with shared incentives. Operators must reach level 30 and maintain an account age of at least seven days to participate. Candidates must sign up within seven days of creating their own account to qualify for the program.
Each Operator can invite up to five Candidates to form a referral group. The system distributes rewards including Tarkovcoins, Bitcoins, and experience bonuses when the group plays together. These incentives encourage veteran players to bring in new talent while accelerating the newcomers' early growth. The structure creates a clear path for coordinated play between established and new participants.
