A Reddit user built a custom GIF PC that displays over 15,000 GIFs across nine screens inside an O11 Dynamic Evo XL case, powered by a Ryzen 9 9950X3D and RTX 5090.

A Reddit user known as Several-Bar-6512 has built a custom PC that displays over 15,000 GIFs across nine screens inside the case. The build, called the GIF PC, uses three Raspberry Pis to power the displays.

The PC is built around an O11 Dynamic Evo XL case and features a Ryzen 9 9950X3D CPU, an MSI X870E Carbon WiFi motherboard, an MSI Ventus 3X RTX 5090 OC Edition graphics card, 96GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 9100 Pro 4TB NVMe SSD. Cooling comes from 15 Noctua 120mm and 140mm fans.

The custom build uses three Raspberry Pis to power the displays.

The creator spent roughly 200 hours categorizing, trimming, looping, adjusting aspect ratios, and setting animation speeds for each GIF. The resulting GIF loop lasts over 13 hours with no duplicates.

Several-Bar-6512 worked on the project over many weekends and evenings. The build was shared on the Reddit PCMR subreddit.
