Respawn Entertainment released a small client patch for Apex Legends on PlayStation 5 to address a specific audio bug. This update matters to players who use the game on Sony hardware, as it restores proper voice communication for non-English speakers. The fix ensures that multiplayer coordination remains clear during matches.
Respawn Entertainment releases version 1.000.136 to resolve audio bugs
The studio applied version 1.000.136 to the PS5 build of the battle royale title. This patch targets a known issue where non-English voice lines would trigger errors on the console. Respawn confirmed the problem and provided instructions for resolution in a public statement.
Players who experienced the voice error must restart the game after downloading the patch to apply the fix. Respawn stated, “We’re aware of an issue on PS5 systems that results in errors in non-English voice lines. We’re actively working on it and hope to have more information soon.” The studio later added, “If you were affected by this, please restart the game after downloading our small client patch. Thank you for your patience while we worked on a fix.”
The update also addresses technical stability issues on the Broken Moon map. Players may still encounter errors with Alter portal placement and clipping through ground structures. These remaining bugs persist despite the voice line correction. We covered the last Apex Legends update, and several of the same balance and stability themes came up in this release.
