8BitDo has announced a new color variant of its Ultimate 3 Controller for Xbox. The Lavender Edition adds a purple finish to the feature-packed gamepad. Pre-orders are open now.

The controller uses TMR joysticks with force rings for adjustable tension. It includes a Disc D-pad designed for easier diagonal inputs. Hall-Effect triggers with trigger stops provide precise control. Two remappable bumpers and two pro-level back buttons offer extra customization. A 12-bit ADC sampling chip and a 216MHz processor aim to improve joystick precision and response time. On PC, the controller supports a 1000Hz polling rate and 6-axis motion control via 2.4GHz wireless. It connects to Xbox and PC via USB-C 2.4GHz wireless or wired USB, and to Android and Apple devices via Bluetooth. A 3.5mm audio jack is included. The 1000mAh battery provides up to 20 hours of use. The wireless charging dock has zero contact points, overload protection, and foreign object detection. The controller works with 8BitDo Ultimate Software X and Ultimate Software V2 Mobile.

The Lavender Edition is available for pre-order at 99.99 USD (about $99.99). It is set to release on August 31.
The Ultimate 3 controller line competes with premium Xbox controllers from Microsoft and other third-party makers. The Lavender Edition offers the same high-end features as other Ultimate 3 variants in a new color.
