Teclast has released a new budget tablet that targets readers who need a large screen for media consumption without a high price tag. The M60 model ships with an 11.97-inch display and runs the latest Android 17 operating system. This combination offers a modern software experience on a device priced for casual users. Buyers looking for a large-format Android tablet under $300 should note this option.

Large screen and modern software at a budget price point

The device features an 11.97-inch IPS In-Cell panel with a 2,000 by 1,200 pixel resolution. It supports a 90Hz refresh rate to smooth out scrolling and video playback. The screen sits on a chassis that measures 282 by 177 millimeters with an 8mm thickness. The tablet weighs approximately 600 grams for portable use.

Under the hood, the M60 uses a Unisoc T7250 octa-core processor. It includes 6GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS storage. Users can expand the internal storage by up to 2TB using a microSD card. The system is powered by an 8,000mAh battery to support extended usage.

Connectivity options include dual-SIM 4G LTE support for mobile data. The tablet also features dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, and multiple GPS navigation systems. Imaging hardware consists of a 13MP rear camera with an LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera. These specs position the device as a functional communication tool alongside its media capabilities.

Teclast launched the M60 in Japan on September 21, 2024. The standard price is set at 39,900 Japanese yen, which is around $254. A launch promotion reduces the cost to 21,900 YEN (around $140), or about $140, when using the coupon code 2026M60A17. The company has only announced pricing for the Japanese market so far.
