The device utilizes dual-frequency bioelectrical impedance measurement to assess body composition. Xiaomi states that readings for fat mass and body fat percentage show a correlation greater than 0.93 when compared to DEXA scans, which serve as the medical gold standard. The scale features a white design with ITO-coated tempered glass and a four-quadrant layout with rounded corners.
